How to Apply

There’s no fee for applying for admission to Johnson & Wales, and with rolling admissions you can apply at any time. However, students are recommended to apply as early as possible before their intended date of enrollment. Applications are accepted for terms beginning in September, December and March. A summer session beginning in June is also available to students who need ESL. SAT and ACT scores are generally not required (but are recommended) for admission to the university.

When applying for admission please, submit the following:

1.A completed and signed JWU International Application form.
2.The results of your TOEFL or other acceptable proof of English language proficiency.
3.Official documentation of higher secondary completion (proof of graduation).
4.A certified bank statement or government sponsorship letter verifying financial support for one academic year.
5.Official secondary school and university college transcripts. (Transcripts must show subjects and marks received, and a graduation date.)
6.Photocopy of current passport’s photo page.
7.All documents need to be translated into English.

Admission Requirements

All applications are reviewed on an individual basis. However, a minimum grade point average of 2.4 on a 4.0 scale is recommended. JWU recognizes the TOEFL as proof of English proficiency. Minimum TOEFL requirements (all levels, undergraduate and graduate) are as follows:

• TOEFL score of 80 IBT, 210 CBT and 550 PPT
• IELTS total score 6.5
• ELS Level 112 Certificate of Completion and Academic Report

Students who don’t meet TOEFL requirements will be required to take ESL.
