Student Enrollment

Students from Baku, the capital city of the country, different districts of Azerbaijan, countries of the former Soviet Union, Middle East, Africa, India, Pakistan, South Korea, Europe, North America and other countries represent various continents, races and cultures. Khazar University has a total student body of approximately 1700.Of them, 54.4% are males and 45.6% - females. 20% of the students are pursuing graduate studies. International students constitute about 15% of the student body.

About 200 fulltime and adjunct faculty body, which includes renowned experts and scholars, business leaders, lawyers of national and international reputation, artists.

Calendar

The academic year runs from September to June and is divided into two semesters, Fall and Spring. Summer semester is not compulsory for students, but is important to complete courses for acceleration and to earn extra credits.

Extra Curricular Activities

There is a wide range of clubs and organizations for students and faculty at Khazar University, which organize sport, musical and cultural activities.

UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS and GRADUATE STUDENTS:
-Completed Studdex application forms accompanied by documents regarding applicant's previous education, transcripts and test scores

Successful candidates will be sent letters of admission with which they will take to the embassy to apply for visas to Azerbaijan although the university will also fax a copy of this letter to the embassy.
In a situation whereby the Azerbaijan embassy is not present in applicant's own country, the university procures entrance visas (in paper form) and sends to the applicant.
It should be noted that this is not a student visa but allows the applicant stay in Azerbaijan for a limited period of time.
Furthermore, the applicant is expected to sign an agreement with the University before resumption of the semester.
The university helps you in procuring the student visas which defines your status in Azerbaijan and to register your passport with police department.
