Program Description
PROGRAM
Universidad San Ignacio de Loyola (USIL) has the programs Semester in Cusco and Summer in Cusco. Students live at our university residence, Casa Don Ignacio, in Cusco, taking seven courses, some of which are taught in English (Biodiversity of Peru, Contemporary Society and Culture of Peru, History of the Inca Civilization, Inca Architecture, Photography, and Art & Design), while others are offered in Spanish (Latin American Literature). There are also Spanish language courses (Beginning, Intermediate, and Advanced), for which students take a placement test.
HOUSING
Students live at Casa Don Ignacio, which offers fully equipped classrooms, Wi-Fi, a computer room, a kitchen, a TV room, a library, laundry service and more.
BENEFITS
International students may enroll for our regular semester, which lasts 5 months, or our summer program, which lasts 5 to 6 weeks. This is a wonderful opportunity to study and live in the most important landmark city in South America and visit one of the New Seven Wonders of the World: Machu Picchu.
Photography: While in Cusco, hundreds of photographs will be taken by you. In order to have the best shots, students will learn the photographic production process, including the study of visual treatment, lighting and mastery of digital photography resources. You will take the best photos of Machu Picchu, rivers, churches, archaeological sites, markets, people, using the appropriate composition and measures.
