University of Bedfordshire

The University was created in August 2006 following the merger between the University of Luton and DMU’s Bedford campus, and since that time we have achieved outstanding success.

We are proud to be runner up for University of the Year in the Times Higher Education Supplement Awards 2007 – a remarkable achievement.

Our recent league table successes have also been cause for celebration. We have seen a massive 41.2% increase in applications to UCAS, the Guardian has placed us 3rd for Media and 12th for Sport, we have jumped 24 places in the Times league table and our students rated us at 28th in the UK for Student Satisfaction in the National Student Survey.

We have also completed a £45 million investment in our two main campuses in Luton and Bedford and were delighted when His Royal Highness the Earl of Wessex recently opened new facilities at our Bedford campus. See our Bedford brochure for further details.

And our Luton campus has also seen massive investment with the introduction of £1.2 million Business Pods and a contemporary reception area complete with Costa Coffee café.

The University continues to stand for high quality teaching, outstanding student support and excellent personal, career and professional development.

We work closely with employers on our curriculum whilst forging close links with UK companies to provide a broad range of training and industry accredited programmes.
